I remember CJ putting on a little weight his SO year at LSU.

CJ always had weight issues due to his medication for Tourettes. It was a constant struggle to decide whether he'd take them to help reduce ticks and add a little weight, or stop and drop weight but suffer through more ticks.

And yes...he was the best pure player I've ever seen in person...and I saw MJ and Dominique Wilkins play a regular season game at UNO back in 1984. What CJ could do offensively makes basketball today look boring and slow.

An AMAZING player [IN College]...

BUT.. Pitol Pete >>>>> CJ With my own eyes. I would also put Magic above CJ cause he could do so much on the court..

Yeah, and I would put Nick Saban over Curley Hallman cause he won so many games.

they also apparently switched up his meds for the tourette's at some point and some say that kind of impacted his game as well.

Shoot first small guards with poor shot selection doesnt equate to success in the NBA. Unless you are AI.

RL was one of the best point guards I ever saw in high school and in college before his injury.

His floor vision was remarkable and his defense was outstanding, but he didn't have the ability to score anywhere close to Chris.

I firmly believe that CJ just didn't want to be that great. He never seemed passionate in the NBA, took plays off, and didn't stay in the best playing shape. Also, he was clouded by those publicity stunts and his radical beliefs

Actually AI had the freedom and system set up for him that CJ never had. In fact, Bernie Bickerstaff stated that he would not change his system to accomadate CJ. If CJ had the freedom and system AI had, he would have been magnificent.

Sort of like Ralph Samson and the coach at Houston who wanted to make him a banger when he was a finest center like Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

career stats

CJ averaged 14.6 ppg and 3.5 assists

AI averaged 26.7 ppg and 6.2 assists.

Now why do you think Chris Jackson is a better basketball player again?
