I remembered seeing that early on in the "next gen" speculation and hadn't heard anything since. Can't see how they don't go to a paid format for this one, but if not, the PS4 will definitely be my next console........if I get one.

Funny thing is if this is as true as you think it is then 720 will still be able to play the same games as you as well as have more entertainment options.
In other words not much will change but the hardware next gen.

Real gamers want a gaming console, not an entertainment console.
Xbox is fricked this gen and everyone knows it but their shitty fan boys who judging by message boards and comments are also going PS4 except the hardcore ones.

once Ulty moves out from his parents house and has to pay his own cable bill , he will perhaps see the benefit that the Xbox Infinite is offering.

You pop in a game play it and when you are finished turn the PS3 straight off?
