This is why a committee for such a low number of teams is a dangerous proposition regarding football and LAX has 4 times as many teams in with half the number of those eligible.

That makes no sense. There are 63 teams which play D-1 lax, which is about half as many that play FBS football.

And, again, the committee announced its criteria and stuck to it. they behaved precisely as predicted (and teams below 500 are ineligible for at large bids). If anything, the lax field shows how responsible the NCAA committee is. It also shows unreliable human polls are, which are far more prone to bias.

I played at LSU, which was an intramural sport. So, not really. But we were sponsored by Michelob, because the drinking age was still 18 and we could still have a beer sponsor.

that's the biggest indicator of how far this sport has grown in just the past 5 years

it has blown up esp in the mid west you would think no way these teams really have the amount of talent, the acc,big east and ivy league schools have. Seeing tOSU and Penn State in the tourny is mind blowing.

the LSU coach (don't know his name or if he's still there because this was 2006-2007) was recruiting us hard as hell to play on the club team, but other than that I only had a few D2 schools offer schollies and a couple D3 schools offered me academic scholarships to be on the team. it wasn't worth going to some liberal arts school just to play

what really shocks me is the lack of D1 teams growing in Texas. you'd think they'd want to keep all that D1 talent they have from going East, but football is god there

4 goals isn't too big of a deficit for the 4th quarter

unless you squander opportunities like that

Terps got bent over. #2 in the computer polls, and they get to play the #1 team (Cornell) in the computer poll. And the winner goes to play Ohio St on the road?

Blame Sagarin and his ratings
