AR optics for hog hunting

I'm thinking about an ACog for hog hunting. I have yet to shoot one or shoulder am AR with one. I've heard the eye relief isn't that great, but I've also heard people rave about them. The eotech is nice, but I don't like the idea of having batteries. This is mainly a spot and stalk type weapon. I will have another rigged up with a scope for longer range. Anyone with any Acog experience?

If you don't like batteries, you may like the Trijicon RMR. Even though it's really small, it's operated by fiber optics and tritium like their other optics. Here's what it looks like on a pistol.

I have an ACOG on my AR, it is great for shooting hogs, done it plenty of times. You really can't go wrong with an ACOG or an ELCAN.
The ACOG with DR optic piggyback would be a neat rig for thick cover, but I would have to take a loan out for that setup.

Checking into this also, specifically for night hunting. Somebody told me I need a green laser/light to use in conjunction with regular scope ( as a cheap alternative to true night vision gear). Anybody used this combo & what lights/lasers you use ?
