Billy Mays is definitely a book reader. He adds little details that are off to make it seem like he's not, but way too much clarity for someone who isn't spoiled.

I don't see how he connected that "bastard" is Roose Bolton's bastard. Everyone I have watched the show with (non-readers) have no idea who this guy torturing Theon is.

ETA unless he read a summary somewhere that explains who everyone is in relation to everyone. If true, he is still "breaking the rules" essentially.

They've given enough information for you to figure out Roose Bolton's bastard has him. Plus that has been the character the book readers have been least secretive of, to where the non-book readers knew he was coming.

like I said a few pages back a tagged this guy last week

BillyMays didnt show up till the 6th episode yet jumps right in:

quote:

Perhaps he's a Stark loyalist looking to avenge Theon's half-arse sacking of Winterfell.

Can't wait until Dany and her freed slave start working late nights/close quarters

I'm guessing Lord Tywin won't be around forever at this rate- he's turning into a complete troll.

Robb has taken his eye off the prize, but I don't think the Karstark beheading will hurt him much - it seems like it was a device to get the unfinished business storyline with the Fyre's back into the mix.

Robb was always going to have growing pains.

He needs to experience lows that test his character and fortitude... if this wasn't the case, he'd be unworthy because he never proved himself against adversity.

It's a process.

Stannis is a pussy
He's actually kind of a misguided mouth-breather - he killed a bunch of Lannister soldiers single-highhandedly at King's Landing, but just got his shite wrecked by Wildfire. He needs someone (Onion Knight perhaps?) that isn't a fanatic helping him strategize things.

I'm assuming Jon Snow will be the bridge that brings them together, or at least that's how it's trending.

The Watch is in shambles, their leader is dead, and Snow is tapping Wildling arse.

It's becoming pretty clear the Wildlings aren't much different than any other clan per se.

Hell of an intro to the threads.

he then trolls about how lame jon snow is and jaime not deserving sympathy.

quote:

Why do book people even bother clicking on this thread? Do they have zero self control?

IDGAF what book it was - just stay out unless you can control your urges to win the interwebz with GOT "knowledge" and impress message board people.

It's like dealing with children. The word "book" should be stricken from the damn thread

cant really use the bastard as evidence since someone basically went in the thread and told them who he was.

I dk man, seems like a stretch. I'd have to go back and watch all Bolton scenes and see where it is distinguished that the guy torturing Theon is Ramsay who is Roose's bastard.

ahh ok. It is a trivial detail in the long run, I just know that people who don't go on message boards and search the internet for "the truth" have no idea who is torturing Theon or why.

the mention of the Bastard at the end of S2 is so brief that I didn't even notice till like my 3rd time watching the episode (this was before I read the books). No way the Hodors drew those conclusions based off of a tiny mention like that

Forget the Bastard, how do y'all explain Billy's post about Arya not running anything until after Season 6? How would a non-reader possibly surmise that Arya
quote:

It seems certain. I'm assuming she will run shite in the future - but if she's running shite, what happened to Robb, Bran and the other Starks etc. I guess we'll find out in Season 6 or beyond....

Even if you are to guess that Arya would run shite, why would you question what has happened to Robb and Bran? Why not suppose Arya runs shite WITH Robb?

I was a non-reader last year, and some of you directly spoiled the Bastard for me supposedly coming in Season 2. Just finishing up the first book at the time to where I had no idea who he was, but kept expecting him to pop up in an episode. I'd venture that most the non-book readers at least knew of the Bastard and that he was as bad or worse than Joffrey, which is why they all figured it out so quickly.

that's just glaring

its like the scene in inglourious basterds. we are the gestapo officer and these closet readers are the Basterds, and we're just waiting for them to give themselves away

We just did work in that thread. We outed a book reader that has posted maybe the worst spoiler I've seen yet this season. Luckily it was so subtle I don't think many (if any) caught it.

Good episode. Loved the stuff with Melisandre that wasn't in the books. LOVED what she said to Arya. Fantastic stuff there.

Likewise. Thought it made a good reasonable connection with needing a king's blood.

Theon's torture and the Bastard is everything I'd hope he'd be and then some.

Honestly I don't remember Theon being tortured in the book but I'm not one to remember every detail.

And yea, that was a gruesome scene with Ros being used as an archery butt.
