I know, thread worthless without pics
Trying to etch some concrete to put an epoxy floor coating on it. Do I just dump this junk on, or spread it out with a broom? Wait until it dries to put more?
The instructions say to do it twice. I am gonna try not to burn myself in the process
For your troubles

Save that to your phone so you can take it on your canoe trip next time
The concrete isn't all level. There are some, I guess, 1/4" inconsistencies in it. Is the stuff easy to spread, or will it just eat the broom? IIRC, it is 38% or something

Obviously you need to store them on ground level.

Get a clothe paint roller. I used to work in concrete. Just roll it on once to fill in all the cracks, let it dry, and apply once more to touch up. Should look nice.

It was this stuff, and seemed to be the thickest when it dried. Ended up being like $500

The instructions for applying it are great. Even came with a dvd. Prep instructions aren't so informative. They suggested that I use muratic acid instead of the stuff they had in the kit. Never had to work with it before, but I am expecting to lose this pair of boots

Suggest not to stick your nose in it and take a big snort .

nitril gloves, goggles, and rubber boots
will burn holes in cotton and skin
mix up some baking soda (1/4 cup) and water in a gallon jug before using to pour on your hands/clothes if there is an accident.
have a water hose handy
use wool roller as stated on a wooden push pole and spread it out
keep area well ventilated!
good luck

I've got some dinky gloves that came with the kit.
It'll burn that quickly?
What about putting it in a garden sprayer?

garden sprayer will work fine. but you will need to rinse it out really well with lots of water afterwards.
nitril gloves available at wlamarks, cvs, walgreens.
skin will not fill birn at first but yes it will burn. if you splash it on yourself rinse it off. if it gets on your clothes you will know after you wash them and they look moth eaten.

Whelp, that was quick. It ate the inside pump and the hose of the pump sprayed. shite is hard to breathe too
Eta: so yeah, I was supposed to dilute it. Probably should've known something was up when the concrete started smoking

Looking to do this at my house, concrete is a stain finish and slippery as shite when wet, heard the acid would roughen up the surface.
How does the concrete look with just the acid treatment?

Yeah, I am coughing like a sum bitch now. Diluting it and using a roller worked much better, although when you put the roller in the bucket it looks like boiling water
She had some hard as hell epoxy on there before, and even a diamond grinder wouldn't cut into it. The people at Sunbelt were so surprised that they didn't even charge me for the rental or stones.
$20 in monopoly money goes to who can guess the dangerous side
The concrete is still smoking

Mix them with a gelling agent and smoke them.

Be careful man chlorine gas posioning and acid vapor inhalation will leave you in the hospital longer than Josey if you survive.
