Does the American voice acting bother you? On the beta forums, a lot of people are up in arms about it. Sounded fine to me.

Far more than English voice acting.
and yes, it's not very good. Not awful, just very meh voice acting.

Not at all. I don't let stuff like that bug me. I just read the subs faster anyways so I'm always cutting them off mid-sentence.

I try not to let it bother me, I just laugh about it and try to move on. It's not that big in a game like this, where characters aren't very important.

I played WoW and FFXI with the sound off all the time. I never listened to the music and sound effects after the first couple days of playing anyway. I prefer to listen to my own music except for Missions/Raids/etc. Imo, I bet they have an option to disable voice overs.

Well, the OST in all FF games are great, so I definitely like the background music.

I agree but, imo, it gets tedious for MMOs. Trailer is getting me pumped.

Got a question for you Sic. Did they send you anything else on Beta yet? Because by this message I would assume I am in but the wording of "hold a service account" makes me wonder.
As you know I played 1.0 but did not have an account later in the life of the game.

The only thing I've seen for the beta is that 1.0 characters aren't going to be available this weekend. They are using this weekend to test the stability of the PS3. Hopefully next weekend we'll get our characters. I downloaded the client this morning so I'm ready to go.

Just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter, especially remembering the Emergency Removal Password. I did a factory reset on my phone and had to link the app to the account again, but I couldn't get on to the site to re-link the app without the one time password, and I couldn't get to that because..........anyways, if you have that emergency password, it's pretty easy to reset, but I didn't, so I had to go through customer service loops.
