Yeah i know exactly where that is. Not too far from me. I'm passed that on the left, right before the free parking, aka "The Jungle".
Have fun. Right accross from where you are there use to be a group of guys that would go around and recruit local strippers and would have a hell of a party, including a huge stage. However, haven't seen it in 2 years.

Nah LSU was pretty well represented when i went. Have fun, i am sick that i can't make it this year.

I have a highway near my house and can watch cars race around the traffic loop for hours and it doesn't cost me a thing, so I won't be making the trip.

But FYI, NASCAR races draw fans from all over the country. Talladega and Daytona are so different from other tracks that people are willing to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to attend. Most of the people I talked to at 'Dega were from outside of the state.
