This maybe Germans, and i know its a little late. So as i was driving to work this morning i remember the poster that use to be on LSU health sciences building in NOLA, as i passed up the school. It said LSU home of champions, with a picture of Flynn from the championship. So yes this is far fetched, but Flynn being in Oakland taking over Russell's team. Flynn has a chance to show everyone who is the better quarterback again!! This time just give them a winning season.......

Good chance Flynn isnt the starting qb week 1, imo.

In favor of Tyler Wilson? I don't think there's a good chance of that.

Flynn was not better than JR at LSU.

Jamarcus is still the more talented QB. Oakland was the worst place he could have landed. I'd love to see his career earnings compared to Flynn's. I'm not bashing Flynn by any means, but Jamarcus would have won the NC the next year had he stayed, no doubt in my mind.

Look up their individual college stats, then compare the total ypg of the 06 and 07 teams, and finally reevaluate this conclusion keeping the new information in mind. I'll give you a hint, JR is gonna look much better.

What? Russell has been gone for 4 years. The owner has died. The coach is twice removed. There is absolutely no parallel that can be drawn between the two.

you see as usually everyone on here is worried about stats, its not stats that makes someone good or the fact he can throw the ball 70 yards while kneeling. It is his decision while holding the football that make him good. I can sit here all day and show you stats form one qb to another, and ill promise you will pick one as the best every time. If you have a qb who is not afraid to chance, and will distribute the ball around, while still making the safest and best play on majority of the snaps, you will have a better chance of winning. Than some defensive lineman size man throwing hail marys and fastballs to all his receivers.

i swear some of y'all just worry about what on the score sheet at the end of the day instead of the play of the individuals you bash

What we are saying is that JR did this better than Flynn while AT LSU.

no he didn't, i went to every home game and even traveled to away ones. all while i was a student there. Not once did i see any actual smart decision making from russell, it was like an idiot throwing a rock hoping to hit a wall and when he did, yay touchdown! Flynn actually looking acted like a qb in the pocket, watched his field, and delivered the ball to his best option

You are a joke.

How about this one:

Sacks - Flynn = 26-176 yards
Sacks - Russell = 16 - 127 yards

By every objective measure, Russell was a better player and decision maker than Flynn at LSU

quote:

yay touchdown!

Isn't that the fricking point?

JR's stats in 06 (a completion % nearly 12 points higher and 3 fewer interceptions) show that he made better decisions than Flynn in 07. You're delusional if you argue against that.

You're right, better stats means better QB unless we are comparing something like T Tech to Navy, which we aren't.

Jamarcus is one of the best quarterbacks LSU has ever had.
