Like everyone else has said, watch it from the beginning. I remember the first time I saw AD was at some friends' apartment. I had no idea what I was watching, but I could tell it was funny if I knew the characters (and some of it was pretty funny anyway). Pissed that I waited so long to finally watch the series...it really is one of the funniest shows ever made. I know it gets overhyped as such, but it's true IMO. And a lot of the humor completely goes over Average Joe American TV Watcher's head, which was why it wasn't as successful as it should've been.

its something you really dont realize how funny it is until you learn the characters etc. then you REALLY dont realize how funny it is until you watch it again
