Maybe all schools fans are like ours, but honestly we have some of the worst fans. Its really sickening how one minute they're probably decked out in LSU gear talking shite and the next they are wanting all coaches fired and bad-mouthing our own players.

The majority of football fans support the team and coaches. There's a few loud mouths that shout out the same cliche criticism that then gets repeated by other guys who don't really know what they are talking about.

Definitely and I don't think it's even close.

i would say our fanbase is spoiled for sure, look at Florida before Urban, a couple titles are almost like a poison, but ultimately we'll always be near the top because of that expectation

I cheer for LSU on every play of every sport but I do like to bitch a lot. So does that makes me a fair weather fan?

No doubt. We have the most passionate yet we do seem to be fair weather during the course of any season. I still am baffled by our fans and games where the stadium is half empty at halftime. You just don't see that with the majority of other huge programs. We have always no showed the spring game. And fans bitch like no tomorrow if game is not after 6 pm. I would much rather have a night game but to no show or sell your tix for a 2:30 game is absurd.

Let's see- Auburn, two years removed from a national championship in football, barely cleared 50k in actual attandance against New Mexico State last year.

That is the textbook definition of fair-weather.

Unacceptable. Even people talking about TM7 bothers me. Always wish the best for Tigers.

Lsu fans are the sports equivalent to what is referred to as "low information voters" in the political arena.

the expectation is that every time a LSU team steps foot onto the field, it WILL be a victory! if not, it has to be the fault of the coaches... LSU coaches very rarely get positive credit from the fanbase, imo!

No but I think we have one of the largest outlets (Tigerdroppings) for a minority of the fanbase that are fair-weather, which makes it appear that all of our fanbase is such.

I don't think our fans are that bad in general. You mostly think this because we have alot of stupid people that hang out on internet message boards and call into sports talk radio. These people are small in numbers and lack common sense, but they give the normal fans a bad reputation.
