Are there usually this many stupid picks in the 1st round?

I have watched the NFL draft a few times and never really noticed so many puzzling picks. A kid who almost died recently because of a torn vein in his HEART and still gets drafted high. A kid who just started playing football 3 years ago and has started less than 10 games in his career gets drafted top 10.. A fricking shitty QB who was the 5th-6th QB in the draft at best gets picked high. a fricking CENTER gets drafted who everyone expected to be available in the 3rd or 4th round.. Like. Some of these picks just seem so dumb.

Me personally, I want guys with a mean streak on my team.

It did seem like an exceptionally dumb year

Cowboys and Bills are kings of stupid.
ETA: And Raiders and Packers.

I think it is a product of the quality of the draft class. There are very few must have prospects so most teams are just drafting their needs regardless of what round their picking.

You are such a man. Your TD name is very appropriate.

It really sucks for the Raiders. Everything fell into place to get a guy they should have drafted 3rd with the 12th pick and they go for a corner instead.

Do you always mean to be this stupid?
JK
The kid who almost died blew my mind. NFL Network said of Milliner..."2nd best corner...but too many injury concerns." Ok cool.
3 minutes later..."Oh man this is the best story in the draft! This kid is my number 1 corner. HE ALMOST DIED ON THE FIELD AFTER BEING HIT."
I almost spit out my milk. No injury concerns there NFL Network

Well they said all the doctors cleared him so I would take their word for it

Im happy the kid got drafted and its a great story. But he had A VEIN IN HIS HEART EXPLODE. Raiders are so dumb.

I mean, me personally, I would draft someone who was proven. It seems like a lot of the picks this year are based on "projects". All in all, this draft blows!

And Dee was cleared and never missed games for his stuff. I know they have to be careful and I'm not dogging the other kid. It was just really contradictory.

It's not like he had a heart condition, he got hit and suffered a freak injury.

I agree...to a certain extent. I almost look at it as a concussion of epic proportions. Yeah once you're back to 100% you're 100%. But holy shite who knows what's going on in your brain(his heart) the next time you get popped.

He also hasn't played in a football game since his freak injury. What makes you think he will be the same? I'm pretty sure after have a vein in your heart explode, your heart will never be 100% as healthy as it once was. I just feel like that's not a risk you take with someone that early in the draft.

He hasn't played in a game since the accident?! Jesus Christ that has to be a scary pick.
