Love the playoff idea. LSU and Alabama will pretty much be in it every year with the occasional 3rd SEC team here and there.

Can Nicky win tough games back to back? Couldn't do it this year and never has had to do it before.

Oh, you mean beating another team that played the weakenst conference schedule out of all of the contenders, then beating a team that would have lost to half the SEC, the Big 12 and probably 3-4 ACC teams?

LOL. Bama Kool Aid.

not disputing this, but it wasn't a tough game?

Sure. But was it two deserving teams? Think about it:

The two SEC contenders that played the weakest schedules, even lost a game (Bama AT HOME AGAIN, and UGA got blown the eff out by USC) got to play to go to the MNC. How pathetic is that? Was it a tough game? Who gives a shite. The playoff won't make it better.

Of course the MNC game is a "big game". I won't dispute that, but when one of the participants (or both) are in it simply because they each did the best against weak schedules, what are you really watching? ND proved, once again, it doesn't belong in a BCS bowl, period.

ND had a top 10 toughest schedule, for a change.

Alabama wasn't in the top 30, if we go by the NCAA toughest schedule.

I just don't see how. Outside of Stanford, who did they beat? They should have lost to Pitt (refs) and BYU at home.

We already know about Bama being a joke and working the system. However, one could easily argue Bama's regular season schedule was harder than NDs. By a longshot.

Who knows but Steele had them #1, NCAA had them at #8, Colley Matrix at # 8, and Massey at #7.

Massey was the only service I could find that had Alabama in their top 10.
