Schalke selling Draxler actually wouldn't be THAT bad of an idea, they have an absolute stud 17 year old CAM, Max Meyer, gotten a little bit of time with the senior squad since Holtby's departure.

Gotze is getting MURDERED right now by the BVB fans. They are talking about burning his jersey and one dude even said "i wish he'd go to Schalke over Bayern" haha what a joke.

My German friend Jahn is a huge BvB fan. Here is what he has to say about the situation:
quote:

tomorrow night 20:45 that kid is gonna go through hell in dortmund. press reports state that club officials cautionary called for the police to secure their final training this afternoon. they're afraid people are gonna lose their shite against him.. yup, that's what's up.. hope you heard about bayern's president hoeneß' trouble with his private bank accounts in switzerland. well done bayern, now, after that transfer, their president is off the headlines for a while. and all their bullshite talking about being worried the bundesliga might be dominated by teams that are financially stronger (like in scotland, spain etc) is hypocritical on a level that i could just frickin throw up.

I think it's pretty shitty that this happened right now for several reasons:
1. Bayern already clinched the Bundesliga, and BvB is obviously a rival.
2. Both teams are still in the CL. With BvB lacking in silverware this season (right?), they really don't need the distraction.
3. We could potentially have a BM/BvB CL final.

So yeah, real fricked up timing. I'm not sure if this is Gotze or BM. If I was Gotze I would have waited until the end of the season to do this.

That said, it makes a BvB vs BM CL final really, really juicy.

It wasn't Bayern that leaked it, Bayern board plus Klopp already said as much.

But yeah no love lost between the two trust me, they've had transfer wars for a few years now. First with Hummels and then with Reus. Reus really pissed them off more than Hummels bc Bayern let Hunmels go then fired his Dad then decided that they kinda wanted Mats to come back.

Dortmund and their fans can seriously suck a dick if they are mad. Dont put a damn release clause in his contract if you want to choose where he signs lol Dortmund would also be in the 2nd division if Bayern didn't give them a loan a few years ago. Also they never buy players from weaker teams LOL

I wonder how actual German fans of Dortmund or other teams feel?

Did some impromptu field research in stopping by Der Schwarzer Kolner to reserve a table for the CL match and asked a bartender I know who's a Dortmund fan what he thought. He pounded down a mug and went on a 5 minute tirade including: "I am sure it is Gotze's fault... Disgusting. The Champions League match will make me vomit if he is allowed to play. I feel insulted and I will hope he is injured. I have asked for the day off tomorrow. Disgusting."

Guess that answered my question.

The move was initiated by Götze and his agent when they found out Mario was Peps number 1 target. Kloppo said he found out immediately after the 2nd Malaga game.

FIFA needs to bring the hammer down on Bayern, this is ridiculous!

Bayern has reached their quota of players named Mario already, transfer will be vetoed.

makes a potential BVB-Bayern final less interesting. Klopp would have to seriously consider sitting Götze IMO.

Well to be honest, it was probably worse for him. Manu literally grew up a Schalke Ultra. It was a pretty big deal, he was captain too if I'm not mistaken

Bayern owner just got charged with tax evasion in March too.

Bundesliga is going to be even more of a joke.

What is it about Germans and the desire to totally dominate/take over stuff.

Uli is the president. Fans own the club. He self reported if I'm not mistaken, but I would really be surprised if he was around next year. Doubt he goes to jail though, I mean the biggest companies in Germany don't even have to pay taxes so I don't know exactly how strict they are. Public fallout already is/will be devastating to his image

This has been all over the Italian papers since we love a good football related scandal.

Uli self reported but right after a bill to forgive tax evaders if they simply paid up anonymously failed to pass.

Merkel, who's been heavily criticized as lax on the wealthiest tax evaders, has come out pretty hard against him but still not sure it will result in jail time. However, it seems like it's not the best timing for Uli insofar as this seems to be a touchy political topic, kind of like insider trading here.

Not sure that this will really affect Bayern much aside from him stepping down. They may end up with a black eye if it comes out that some of those massive deposits he was supposedly hiding away had to do with illegal football shenanigans and not just selling sausages.

I think with a CL final on the line you have to start your best player.

I think it would make for awesome drama.

yeah it would be much more awesome IMO. if gotze plays well or does some sweet game winnning shite, it will be epic. and then he joins bayern next year and wins the CL with them. it would be all "you must have me on your team to win the CL" types of bad arse
