Does Olapido just not do it for anyone else?

Do we REALLY need another good defensive 3 that can't shoot?

Does Dell just hate having SFs that can score on the roster?

Dell and Monty have literally never had a SF on the roster since they've been here that could shoot (other than Peja for a week)

I'm not sure I get it, to be honest.

Hell atleast Porter and Shabust can score consistently. Neither can shoot lights out but at least they're decent.

Dell and Monty, please draft some offense. Please dear jesus make watching Hornets games more tolerable for me. Please.

As much as I really, really, really hate to agree with you...

Yeah, Oladipo does nothing for me at all. I do not want him.

Also, he's definitely a SG that can play some spot up SF, but definitely a 2 I think.

Fair enough

I just got the impression we would draft him to be a SF

Yea, he's raw and athletic. Could develop into a great player, or he may not.

I'm kind of tired of those players tbh.

Near the end of the year Monty specifically singled out Vasquez and Aminu for not providing spacing so I think they are aware of the problem.

Put me in the group that's hoping we don't draft him either. I don't want the SG version of Desmon Mason.

Oladipo's offensive game got a lot better this year, but to me it still doesn't look like it translates to the pro game. I guess I kind of see him as a Tony Allen with a slightly better offensive game.

Obviously, this could be one of those threads that gets bumped and I get laughed at if he turns into Dwayne Wade...but I just don't see it.

I want a scorer, or someone that facilitates scoring.

He's 6'4". Yeah, he's got a nice wing span, but most modern SFs you're seeing nowadays are at least 6'7" and above. Durant is damn near 7foot, Lebron, Carmelo...they would all be way too big for him.

He's a SG with a defensive SF game. Nice wingspan, very athletic...but he reminds me too much of a Tony Allen to be what we need. We need scoring, and we need it now.

I thought he was more like 6'5" or 6'6"

Well shite, now I really don't want to draft him

A few sites have him listed at 6'4", a few at 6'5", including Wiki.

Regardless, that's pretty small for a full time SF.

Oladipo's stats were great this year. Great percentages, great PER. I have nothing in terms of statistics to back my feelings on. Its just a matter of watching him play...I just don't see his offensive game translating.

If I'm wrong, I could be very wrong, as a lot of people see a high ceiling in him (Dwayne Wade comparisons). I just personally don't see it.

I keep seeing Tony Allen with a better offensive game.

And that will play a long time in the NBA.

I really like him because i see him as a blue collar guy. Really personable, not the best looking guy but is happy for what he has. He has superstar potential and sure there is a chance he won't get to that level but there is no chance in my mind that he won't work his arse off to try to get there. His shot is looking great this year, i don't think he's had many great coaches just came out of nowhere this year with a remarkable season. He won't be silent aminu, who i question the work ethic of.... At this point who else? I can see Bennett or burke and wouldn't like it but could also see shabazz being decent fits

I'd take Burke before him without even thinking.

After that...I think he'd be next up as we wouldn't have much of a choice.

I like him. I'm not sold on his offensive game but defensively he'll translate.

I like the tony allen comparisons, but i think he has more coordinated athleticism. His ceiling may be a little higher

His ceiling is definitely higher than Tony Allen. Still not sold on him though.
