Video I took last Tuesday of one of the grounds crew guys putting 31 in the dirt before the game. He does this every game. Wally is looking over our Tigers.

I had the honor of having Wally in my group for a communications class, one of the nicest and truest people you will ever meet!

I met his family last year at the classic. Some of the most genuine nicest people I've ever met.

My dad and Mr. Wally grew up together and so I knew the family somewhat well. Two weeks after the loss to Rice in Supers, my dad had a major surgery and both Mr. Wally and Wally came and visited us at the hospital. I spent an hour or so just hanging out with him and that was one of the last times I saw him.
I remember everything vividly about that Wednesday morning when I heard about his death. One of toughest days in my young life.
