I've been supremely disappointed this team after this weekend. I knew going into this series that I was preparing myself for only about 1 win and that winning the series @LSU would be extremely difficult for anyone to challenge. However, I don't like how our kids have responded. I don't think that there is THAT big of a difference in terms of level of play between these teams but I think its significant and easy enough to say LSU is the better team.
The bottom line is our hitting must improve and our defense has to get better because thats what initially caused our first game to get blown open on Saturday during the 5th inning.
However, we do have our best pitcher going today in Littrell so there is a good possibility of redemption. And for the record, I still have never truly understood why Henderson continues to start our best pitcher on Sunday and not on Friday like most coaches do in the SEC. It feels like at times he is just intentionally pissing away the first game of the series almost every weekend by starting arguably our worst pitcher.

You know what I mean? I knew going into this game LSU was the better team but I don't think there is that much of a significant difference between these ball clubs as I don't really think LSU is really 18 runs better than Kentucky. Thats what I'm trying to get at.
