The more times I watch An Unexpected Journey, the more I like it. I can't wait for December.

So what say you on your rankings?

Mine:

Two Towers
Fellowship
An Unexpected Journey
Return of the King

Now all of them are awesome films. I almost consider them one work, but for ranking purposes I go with the above.

I'm here with this.

Unexpected Journey was better than I expected. Those of you familiar with my terminal case of cyncism might take heart from that revelation.

You may not like remakes, but you give a good military analysis.

Somebody had to fight the stupid that was stacking up to the rafters.

(To keep it relevant) I finally had to say "You shall not pass!" - metaphorically, of course.

I laughed at Kafka's remark.

You better back up off Kafka.

Just to make sure, are we talking about the thread where you hate remakes or the North Korea thread?

There was less emphasis on costumes and makeup and a heavier emphasis on cgi, plus the style was a little different. With that said the hobbit was waaaay unfairly trashed
