Just saw this on Twitter. I know Mainieri said he was going to get checked out today because he wasn't "feeling normal" when he threw Tuesday night.

How important was he to the pitching rotation?

Well he was the #4 starter and a candidate to possibly move into the rotation on Sundays at some point.

It's not ideal, but we are certainly not screwed.

someone else will have to step up. this hurts our postseason bullpen depth for certain though.

Mainieri said Glenn had a good bullpen session on Wednesday. Hopefully he gets it together on Sunday.

It's not just Glenn. We need someone else to step in for depth. I think McCune is one answer. Hope he comes back strong.

Yeah with him being out it would take at least a couple of weeks to get anyone else ready to slide into the weekend rotation if someone continues to struggle or has to miss a start. Bonvillain has been stretched out some and would be the easiest transition but that would weaken the bullpen.

We will really need Glenn to be consistent now, and it would be a good move to find someone else to start developing as a starter in the midweek.
