Can someone explain the two different ratings the use and which one is the most important to look at?

If you think that they rate players more accurately than everyone else in the business, look at the their number.
If you think an aggregate of all the sites together is a better representation of where the player should be ranked, look at the composite number.

The composite ranking is the more important ranking. it is a composite rating using all the major recruiting sites. the other rating is just 247s rating of the player.

As of right now they do have the true composite rankings as ESPN has yet to come out with their rankings. So enjoy them while you can. I believe ESPN comes out with their rankings this month.
