Why is everyone all of a sudden freaked out about our RPI in April?

LSU will have to sweep a few series against top competition in order to move back up in the RPI. LSU's RPI takes a hit every time they play Alcorn, Southern, Grambling, etc. Taking 2 of 3 games against SEC competition on the weekend offsets the negative hit from the midweek game. Basically, scheduling SWAC schools leaves LSU with only 1 path to a top 8 seed: win the SEC.

There must be really shitty drainage at zephyr field if its postponed. It won't rain again today.

#LSU spokesman Bill Franques and Southern coach Roger Cador confirm that Wed. game is rained out, Tigers will face Jaguars next Tuesday.

Why did Rosetta go to Cador for confirmation on a game between LSU and USM?

Ridiculous that they cancelled the game. It isn't raining any more.

Im in Kenner today not terribly far from Zephyr field and I agree. It rained but nothing like forecasted. Still overcast, but the sky is much brighter than this morning.

Im lowering rain chances to 25% for the evening hours with spotty showers possible in the metro area.

Zephyr has great drainage. I'm shocked that this game is cancelled.

I was looking forward to getting off work and heading there. I'm still shocked about the cancellation. The damn sun is almost out.

My reaction also.

If we win the SEC or the SEC tournament, our RPI will be assured.

The game was cancelled because of a light tower issue and apparently they couldn't fix it in 7 hours. Total bullshite! It had nothing to do with the weather or field conditions. Call and complain, ring the phones off the hook. (504) 734-5155
