If you cant get an ACOG get an AIMPoint. AIMpoints are currently selling in your price range and their battery life is minimum 5 yrs. If you cant get an AIMpoint get a Vortex Strike Fire.

I looked at that video. And many others they've done. Love that channel.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Ok My bad I should have asked what are you going to use it for. Before I switched to a Reddot I used a 5x33 ATN with an Illuminated reticle. Nikon makes a setup just for AR's that I looked at hard. Vortex does make a line of precision optics that are becomming increasingly popular with competition shooters. Theres just too many great products out there for me to recommend one.

I was going to suggest saving a little more and going this route (new)...used would probably put it in your budget. Vortex makes great products and has an incredible warranty. I will have a Vortex Razor HD on one of my AR-15s one day.

Vortex are great but heavy. Leupold makes the same thing, but much lighter.

Leupold VX Patrol 1x4.

What happened to iron sights? Not to hijack, but how do you keep a scope sighted in after beating the crap out of it?

Nikon m-223 seems to be a very good scope about in your price range. BDC reticle is really nice and scopes are well made. I just purchased the m-308 for my AR-10 and I love it. But there are many options to choose from in all price ranges. Good luck though, some are hard to find right now.

Not first focal plane and had a mil reticle with moa adjustments. Also not a true 1x.

The glass may be good and it may be a good scope, but Id rather FFP, matching reticle and adjustments, and a true 1x.

This Leupold

1.25 is true and very close. I have heard that the Vortex is not a true 1x either.

No Mil reticle. Does not matter what the MOA adjustments are.

Yes, SFP.

I have a buddy with the scope above. Opinions on it? And how easy would it be to adjust for my 300 BLK supersonic to subsonic?

I suggest Redfield. It's a good price point and they're made by Leupold. I love mine.

They are good scopes. Most of the stuff I talk about will never be used by 99% of shooters.

It should be easy. What i would do is chrono both loads and work up a range card for both loads. Then I would find their impacts at 100 and see what the difference is. Use that and the proper range card for your drops and wind calls for the proper load.
