I've been watching Nikita on Netflix lately and I have to say it's been a pleasant surprise. I watched Dollhouse recently and enjoyed it and switched to Nikita once I finished thinking it would be similar. In one sense they are sort of similar.... They are about a secret organization with evil power hungry bosses and hot agents with incredible martial arts skills. Oh and I can't forget the lovable computer geeks in both who can seemingly break into CIA mainframe with a toaster oven and some aluminum foil. But that is where the comparison ends.

Nikita is superior in every way. Writing, story, plot, acting...it's all better than Dollhouse (and I really liked Dollhouse). This show is excellent and I highly recommend it if you like that sort of show.

I'm almost done with season 2 and it has been great so far. Is anyone else watching this and does Season 3 keep up the standard the first two seasons have set?

As an aside (and one of the reasons I love this show so much--the villains)...I would put Amanda and Percy up against some of the best TV villains out there.

Did you watch the La Femme Nikita series on USA network in the 90's? How does it compare to that? That was one badass show. Peta Wilson was fire.

there is a small contingent of nikita fans on this board. we have a season 3 thread but it keeps falling and hard to find. this show is severely underrated it is just non stop pure awesomeness.

I'm having a hard time judging season 3 to the other 2 because I watched season 1 and 2 straight through so it was just one constant journey. season 3 is probably on the same level it's just hard to judge it having to wait so long in between episodes and kind of forgetting about things.

I have not so I'm not sure how they compare. I have read some reviews of the current show in which they mention the old one. The reviews were mixed from people who watched the original show. Some loved both and saw similarities (I think the names are the same for the supporting cast...Burkhoff, Michael, etc.) and some loved only the older show.

I may be wrong, but the way it looks to me is that La Femme Nikita took place while she was in Division and beginning to realize she needed to get out. I'm guessing she was doing things to sabotage missions? Nikita takes place after she gets out and what she does to take them down after her escape from Division. Plus I think Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) is a new character.
