Pablo Honey was mucho Pablo Honey. I respect your opinión, however.
The idea was to exemplarize a critical moment of the band, where there are some serious overlaps.
Many consider one or the other, their best álbum.
I get it, and agree, it´s a microcosm of their career and evolution, but nevertheless, this was an important point in their career from the public´s point of view.
I personally cannot decide upon an álbum, let alone a song, but never mention them on this board, as they were pure genius, and referring to them is not unlike speaking of the Beatles. All is good. Very good.

It is a fine alternative rock album and has hints of the further greatness to come, but the later stuff was on a whole different, even legendary level.

When In Rainbows came out I was shocked. I couldn't believe that the band was able to keep that incredible string of nearly perfect albums together. I heard a good amount of the tracks live during the 2006 tour before the album was released. I liked what I heard, but whenever they went into the studio the did a fantastic job re-working and re-mastering the songs.
That said- King of Limbs was a disappointment to me.

If I was ever to pick a favorite this might be it. Was an amazing album, had a great sound to it,

They were constantly trying new things, constantly. I get what you´re saying about In Rainbows, everybody thought they were spent, and they pulled a heretofore unseen gem out of their collective arses.
Jonathan Richard Guy Greenwood was IMHO possibly more important to this band´s adventure, than was the all powerful Yorke.
Yet another can of worms.

Me too. I like the moody stuff of amnesiac and Kid A, but I thought this was a disappointment. It is by far my least favorite album. I can understand that they were trying to do something different again with this album, but in my opinion it didn't really work this time.

The immediacy of Pablo Honey is very, very important IMO.
Prelude to greater things to come, no doubt, but they never had this ´rawness´ later.
As I said, Radiohead and The Beatles are pretty interchangeable in terms of career and specific music history weight.

I think they are equals. Thom obviously is more comfortable with the public, but the majority of fans know that Jonny is the best musician in the band.
For as much as a DJ Thom wants to be his best act will always be as a frontman of (ETA: one of the greatest ever) a rock band.
