I understand maybe picking them to win their first game or get to the Sweet 16. But I don't get the people that have them making a big run. What have they done to prove they're capable of that?

Exactly. One of the announcers in the game made a great statement about them. He said they can beat anyone in the tournament but they could also lose to anyone.

I thought they could handle KSU and I wasn't sold on Gonzaga. Boy, they shite the bed today (esp. shootingwise).

It's difficult to play against that style of play in a tournament. Sparty is the same way. Especially this season and they've had more trouble scoring than Sconsi for the most part.

This is the first time they've lost a first round game in 6 years. Perhaps we have a different definition of "flop every year", but that seems like they are pretty reliable.

Wisconsin actually does awesome in the 1st round of the tournament.
I had them in elite 8 but put them in sweet 16 nearly every year they're in it.

That's it. We should just quit making our selections and listen to the OP. He obviously knows more about CBB than everyone else here. I mean, who the hell would pick a team that has been to the tournament 15 straight years and only lost in the first round 4 times and advanced to the Sweet 16 the last two years to get out of the first round. They ALWAYS flop!!!!
