Which is better for renting camp and pier fishing, grand isle or big lake

Wife wants to rent a camp and bring the dogs on a little mini vacation just to get away for a few days. Was trying to think which would be better. Renting a camp and surf/pier fishing in grand isle or renting a camp with private pier at big lake, which I have never been to. She doesn't want to bring the boat, just wants to hang out and relax. Also when is the best time to do either. Thanks

Probably Grand Isle because you have the beach and can surf fish and crab. More options.

LSU mike has problems, but not having a boat ain't one of them.

You're right about that. She would be just as happy if I didn't have a boat. It was a novelty with her, now its worn off
Other problem is don't get to take it out as much as I would like. The next three weekends I'm booked and can't go fishing.

Wife hates trout fishing out of a boat. First thing she asks when I stop somewhere is if we can get out.

Mine doesn't hate it per se but once she catches a few fish and/or they stop biting she is done. Like a little kid with ADD.
And yes motorboat go to G.I. without my boat. I know it sounds stupid but we usually take a little mini trip or two somewhere just to relax, fish a little and let the dogs swim around.
