Morrissey cancels rest of US tour dates due to health issues

A press release reads: The remaining dates of the Morrissey U.S. North American tour have officially been pulled down due to medical reasons. The singer has suffered a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett's esophagus and double pneumonia. Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour. Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts. Refunds for the remaining shows are available at point of purchase.

ETA: I like Morissey and The Smith's music but the guy needs to chill out. How many total shows did he do on this tour 3?

fricker did this to me in Houston back in '04 or '05. Claimed it was "unspecified" illness but I think he had political motives as he was in Texas and Bush was Prez.
Show was cancelled the afternoon of the concert and I was already en route to Houston. Did not even realize it was cancelled until I got to the venue. I got punk'd by the Moz
Ended up at a couple of titty bars and coincidentally a band from Baton Rouge was playing at a club in Houston (Liquid Sand) so I did at least get to see a show
