Better than last years team?

I think this years team would easily beat last years team. Although looking at results their pretty similar. I knew we wouldn't do anything in the NIT last year, however this year I have confidence in the team if we were to play anybody in the tournament. Am I off based?

conference record is a huge difference

If Hamilton had stayed, we would be dancing.
I think we would have finished 23-6 or better (13-5 in conference) if we had another capable big man.

I'd say it's possible only because the SEC just is so bad outside of UF. It was clear our biggest disadvantage this year was missing another legit big man next to JOB III. We wouldn't have gotten killed near as bad on offensive glass with Hamilton and JOB III playing, then Tuba could come off the bench.

My guesses were beating: @Auburn, USCe, @Georgia and one other SEC win like @Alabama and/or Ole Miss, and one more OOC win.

All makes sense to me. I dont see us losing to those easier teams we did with 1 more legit guy to hold us up. Even if we dont beat any other of the better SEC teams and we won @ Marquette (only lost by 4) that would put us at 22-7 (12-6 SEC) going into SECT which would have given us the 5 seed.

The losses to Auburn and USCe still don't make sense

Our RPI would be 20 spots higher.
30 spots or so higher if we had beaten Georgia in the regular season.

If Trent was coaching this team & CJJ was coaching last year's team, LAST year's team wins big time and goes deeper in the NIT than they did.

UGA too.
We had a bad start in the SEC and that should change for next season.

The Marquette, Auburn, USCe & Bama games are killing us

if we won @marquette and beat USCe at home, we'd at least be on the bubble right now imo
