Norfolk State, the regular season champ in the MEAC, just lost in their conference tournament in overtime. Looking bad for LSU on that front.

Crazy upset. Norfolk was 16-0 in conference regular season!

why tournies are stupid, 2.5 months doesn't count as much as one weekend. never made a bit of sense.

well i don't either, but for the mid major conferences, it essentially renders your conference champion meaningless. If that's fine with them, then whatever. but I think it's stupid

While i see where you are coming from, most championships are decided by a playoff. Why should conference championships be any different?

I have faith we make the NIT. I think we could take Norfolk state and they will take this stuff into consideration but we need to win tomorrow to secure our bid. Loss tomorrow only hurts.

I am going to be honest a loss tomorrow probably knocks us out. Even though we would have scheduled two cream-puff losses, not having two extra ganes has really hurt us when it comes to the NIT, and both RPI and the eye test. Hoping we make it though.

I don't think you understand that Norfolk gets in automatically. Committee doesn't care if we could beat them.
