Hey y'all,

I admittedly lurk a pretty good bit, but seeing your music tastes, thought I could get some help here.

Played an open mic recently and got an offer to play a solo gig at the same place. Probably a 2.5 hr or so set. I have a pretty good list of songs that will cover that time, but wanted to get some input on some songs that are a "must". In the style of upbeat, bluesy/country, southern rock, college rock, .... that type of stuff. Let me hear some suggestions!

Thanks in advance y'all!

Have a good one

It's a lot harder than you think to ignore it. Especially when drunk bitch is in your face repeatedly asking for you to play it, and getting louder and louder the longer you don't, until finally you snap, and scream "OKAY! I'LL frickING PLAY IT" and you do. And with each passing strum of the guitar, you feel yourself dying a little bit more inside. Finally, you finish the song. And you feel relieved. You think it's over. But no. Drunk bitch returns. She comments that the Wagon Wheel you played wasn't the Darius Rucker version, which was the original in her alcohol riddled brain. You snap. You stand up, and without saying a word, you swing your guitar and hit this girl in the face. She goes flying through the air, a single tooth flys out of her mouth. When she lands on the ground the audience erupts in cheers. You're their hero. They love you. You can't do any wrong. At which point, you wipe the blood off your guitar, and begin playing Freebird. The crowd immediately sulks, some begin to cry. They know they've been defeated, and that you are their master.

It is at that point that you officially own the crowd and will have to take a request again.

Play this... Drunk On You.

Don't listen to some people on here. Guarantee if you play it you'll have a pick of OT 9's to go home with.
