What's your putter shaft length?

I am in the market for a new putter, but I really don't know which length I should be using. I currently have a hand-me-down 35" Odyssey White Hot (#1 model) and its the only putter I have ever used. After trying out a bunch of putters, I am leaning towards a 34" White Hot Pro (#1 model), but I am just wondering if there is a standard "you are this tall, you should use this length" (I am 5'8") or any other thoughts before buying this putter. I really didn't even try the 33" models, so maybe I should go back and see if those are better...

I stick my arms out and come down. When my elbows touch my torso I bend and put the putter down. I also hover my putter.

I'm really just hesitant to buy something that I have only tried on the putting green in a golf store. Wish I could rent one for a round.

I'm 6'2" but have 6'6" arm span. Mine is 31".

depends on your grip.
