Did any of y'all make it out last Friday night for the show?

My friends and I were there, right in front of the stage, jamming to one of the most underrated and unappreciated southern bands to ever tour the coast. They came our of Atlanta in the late 80's and toured all the college towns along the gulf coast. And they are fricking awesome. Their show Friday night was just as powerful, tight, and spirited as the show I saw at Murphy's back in '87 or so.

If you like southern guitar rock, check out Drivin' n Cryin'. You won't be disappointed.

I love their Fly Me Courageous album.

The others are ok. But not quite as solid all the way through.

Pretty good turnout in my opinion. I was impressed to see so many people fired up and singing along. Some of them were even too young probably know them from back in the day.

For the last encore song Kevn Kinney and Sadler Vaden got off the stage down in to the audience and just jammed for a long arse time. It was so cool to be standing right there watching these two artists do thier thing.

I totally disagree. Mystery Road is fricking perfect.

Man, I wish I'd known they were playing in town. Drivin n Cryin was probably my favorite LSU-era band (1988-92).

Saw them at The Varsity years ago. Good show, but I remember the crowd was overwhelmingly disappointed when they finally played "Straight To Hell", but it was a reggae version!

I'm not sure how many times I've seen them. I still rock out to them. I'm pretty sure Mystery Road was a required purchase if you were in college late 80's early 90's in the South.

I just listened to the entire Mystery Road album for the first time in a long time, and now I have the urge to skip out of work, go to Fred's, and get absolutely hammered.

Saw them at The Caterie back around 92 or 93. Great band; Straight to Hell is still one of my favorite songs.

Love this band. I wore out my Mystery Road cassette on road trips back in the day.

Thought it was great that some bar band I saw not long ago covered Straight To Hell.
