I know im not FO....but this is how I see the situation...am I off base...What do you guys think...are we really going to restructure all 3?
personally I dont want Smith taking anymore snaps away from Galette(3-4 DE) and Wilson(3-4 OLB) (imagine them rushing the edge from the same side)...along with any additions we may make in FA or the Draft. He has no value as he is now at the 2008/09 Charles Grant stage of his career. Simply want him gone. Not worth a Dime.
Vilma has value only in a nickel and dime set not as an every down LBer in a 3-4 scheme/open to a reasonable restructure for a back up LB otherwise cut
Harper can not simply be replaced with an equal level player so our only real option is restructure and using him as the attacking in the box safety that he is. Using a better cover safety in sub sets in obvious passing situations to mask his inability to do so against receivers. So basically acquire a good coverage specialist who can back up and get minutes but not starter pay.

Quiet.
Why pay them 7 million to leave when we can pay them 17 to suck balls.

I imagine that post had your personal opinion on what we should do with the players in your subject heading. Hmmm...... That's a tough one. Hasn't been discussed here yet. Let me ponder some and I will get back to you.

cause that 10 mill difference could be Jimmy worth every freaking penny Graham Money...not Whopper here....20 Piece KFC Will Smith Money...
Maybe that could be the Defense's version of Darren Sproles Money...IDK bite the bullet on bad decisions and squeeze out the 2-3 year window for championships...49ers are getting better every day...we are losing the arms race

Yea, but then you have that Drew Jimmy John Turkey Tom Quarter Pound In n Out burger with cheese and Popeyes chicken wings with buffalo sauce and Mardi Gras Mustard on top of Cinnamon Toast Crunch all in the Lamborghini Brees money.
We have to think along the lines of Dorito Cool Ranch Taco Supreme with a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon, along with a side of Aunt Jemima's Syrup and Jimmy Dean Sausage Biscuits sprinkled with a little bit of Louisiana Hot Sauce.
It really is that easy

both will be OLB
Will Smith should be a DE

i know galette is on the small end i just dont know if he is capable of moving laterally in coverage...i think he is a fantastic force coming around the edge and could still put his hand in the dirt in a 3-4...i could be wrong but at the moment i know everything is saying he will be an OLB.
Will Smith should be unemployed.

Gallete is going to be OLB not DE.. If will smith is gone it will be a Hicks or Johnson replacing him

I expect word to come at 3:59

again this to me is here say...i havent seen a single defensive alignment yet...however if we drafted a Jarvis Jones, a Dion Jordan, or a Keke Mingo...you would honestly leave Galette on the bench...he is more vaulable and a better producer than Will Smith...no need to get butt hurt. All I am saying is I think he can be worked in at both positions...unless you only want an end who can eat a block...

our number 1 problem last year was our ability to rush the passer...in my opinion...again just an idea...take it for what it is worth..but the thought of galette and wilson on one side along with jordan and keke,or jordan, or jones on the other smells like an upgrade and just a freaky combo across the board...its one of those pick your poison type pass rushes but your going to be wrong no matter what.
in the middle lofton and hawthorne will be solid and then with an improved hicks, bunkley who knows and maybe one more NT our front 7 looks totally revamped...im not rob ryan i dont know what his plans are but this gives me a stiffy...just saying

If we draft a better OLB then yes I want an end who can eat a block and let explosive LBs have a better shot at making plays. Gallete would get swallowed up at DE in a 3-4. It is essentially like playing 3 DTs on your line
