Ight. Kinda going against my thread, but I really do think its BS doggin a player for getting dunked on. Dibs to him for going up and making the challenge, while the other 4 sat on their heals and were to scared to go up. Don't know if I'd have the balls to even stand in the same paint as DeAndre Jordan, mush less contest an alley-oop, where he's getting a running start. Bullshite media

It's symbolic of the state of basketball today when people act the way the Clippers bench did, and all the talk about the poor guy trying to defend it. I sat at a high school game this year with Scottlandville playing a weaker team. The two recently graduated players sitting behind me only wanted to see some of their former teammates get dunked on so that they could laugh at them.

Do cornerbacks get laughed at for giving up a touchdown? Do baseball players get laughed at for getting thrown out stealing?

In basketball, it's all about the highlight reel. Even Wilbon today showed disgust for NBA players that give up a free basket instead of contesting a shot for fear of being "posterized".

I used to love basketball, but I don't care much for it anymore.

This

Granted the dunk is incredible, but I can't knock Knight for challenging. I actually give props for being one of the few in the NBA who would challenge to protect the rim. Most guys get out of the way so don't end on youtube or Sportscenter.

Like pitchers who don't want to throw to batters who are trying to break a HR record.

I get what you're saying but there are examples of this in team sports
