Anyone know how many lives you get on the original versions of the game? A few friends of mine have a bet going that the game can be beat in less than two hours but one of them claims you only get 3 lives then you start all over. The PS3 download from psn lets you retry as many times as you want without starting over.

The game can be beat in less than two hours. There's only seven fighters plus Goro and Shang Tsung. I don't remember any lives. Pretty sure the Genesis version had infinite continues from the same fight you died on.

Yeah we couldn't figure it out. But we did unlimited lives and it took him about an hour.

There is also three endurance fights plus a mirror match. It should still only take about 20-30 minutes to finish.
