Great player in his day. This is not his best day. Roger G. has quite a bit of cash from Harrison.

I can't say that I'm surprised. He'll get a shot with someone else.

Steelers are rebuilding from the looks of things. Wallace, Mendenhall, and now Harrison, all important players from their last SB run all gone now. But the move saves them 5.15 Million and gets them 6 Million under the cap. Interested to see how they approach the draft this year. Thats how they build their team, from the draft.

Think he has one more year of good football left in him. I dont think hes been fully healthy at all the last 2 seasons.

I'm saying in terms of overhauling their roster. Wallace won't be back.

Rebuild mode no question. At the positions they are releasing, there has not been consistency there for the past 12 years. Beside Ward at WR, and Bettis at RB, and Porter at OLB, we really have just plugged in whoever at those positions and there has been success. The draft and maybe solid vet pickups will help. Hope the loss of Wallace will get us to stop chunking the ball around and start to play defense with a running game again.

This is one of our most important drafts in awhile. Defense getting old at important positions. Need to draft their replacements now, especially at safety.

Wallace has a bad case of butterfingers and isn't worth the money Steven Jackson would work well on the steelers You can find Wallace speed in the draft. Like the guy who ran 4.19 40yd dash

I don't know where the hell that even came from. The Steelers are a passing team, mostly because of the outside weapons, and the fact that they can't keep anyone on the O-Line healthy for an entire season.

Yes to this. I don't know what it is but every damn year it's a new oline. Hopefully with Dicastro and Pouncey healthy that can change. Wallace literally could have won 3 games if he caught one pass in each. Same could be said for Brown though. Not worried about losing Mendenhall at all. Austin from WVU would be the shite.

Steelers have salary cap issues right now, and Harrison just isn't worth that kind of money anymore. He should have taken the pay cut because I can't see anyone else giving him what the Steelers offered. Wallace is a decent WR but he wants Megatron money. Wouldn't be surprised if someone (Oakland/Dallas/Washington) is dumb enough to overpay him. Real problem last year was Ben. He Brett Favred two critical games in December.

Dolphins seem to be the front runners to do just this. PFT even suggested the Pats are trying to bait them into doing it by throwing out sources saying the Pats are very interested in him, all in irder to take a chunk out of Miamis cap space for the next couple years Seemed like a leap to me but Patriots dont do anything without a reason

Wallace would be a great addition for the Pats*. His speed would take the top off the defense and leave more room underneath for Gronk/Hernandez/Welker. I don't think they would pay him what he wants. But one thing that would make up for the lower pay is the other team members are supposed to keep Brady's beard satisfied
