He sure did, and you're probably right

Morgan Freeman played at LSU last year. I bet they didn't charge the voice of God.

I like Toms, but that came off a little arrogant...

Someone remind him that he can write it off as a business expense...

Residents of EBR parish do not need to be subsidizing Toms golf.

BREC is losing enough money as it is.

That's awesome.

He is opening a world class training facility in Shreveport this summer. I just read about it and now I have a stiffy at work.

quote:

The Academy will include a 9-hole par 3 course, a massive driving range spanning 18 acres with over 2 ½ acres in teeing space, 8 greens dedicated to putting and chipping, and three regulation holes (par 3, 4 and 5). Noted golf course architect and Shreveport resident Jim Lipe has been working hand in hand with Toms on the design of the facility. Lipe, who has over 25 years of golf course architecture experience as a senior designer for Jack Nicklaus, has helped shaped the 60 acres into a golf oasis despite the property’s location in the middle of a metropolitan area. Phase two of the complex will include a state of the art clubhouse with three indoor hitting bays, the latest video equipment, fitness center and youth achievement center.

quote:

265 also plans to bring in “Top 100” instructors throughout the year for clinics and lessons.

thats funny.

but IMO toms should be happy to help out a course in his local area. dude has made so much money playing golf he should be happy to pay 50 bucks to go to a local course.

Ive always been a Toms fan and have seen and spoken to him many times and hes a great guy. But this is kinda douchy

Well it sounds like he did pay, and I doubt he made a big deal about it in the Clubhouse. Those guys at City Park wouldn't put up with any nonsense.

I'm not saying he did I just think if I had that kind of money is be paying fees at the places around my home to help them out. It's not like courses are killing it money wise right now.

Swagger hits in the water with his golf boys thread and follows it up with a shank.
