Spring training is not being kind batting about .167 so far. I love the guys hustle and the way he plays the game. That being said I'm taking the under and expect to see a lot of Pastor at second. What say the more sports board.

Uggs is hitting .111 right now not .167. As disappointed as I am in his play the past couple years, I'll still take the over, slightly. My guess would be in the .230 or .240 range. I'd be thrilled with .250. That being said, you are crazy if you think Pastor plays significant time at 2nd base this year.

Yeah, if Uggla gets benched (doubtful because Fredi loves him as much as he hates Heyward) it will hopefully be for someone who is actually better than he is on defense.

Who do you have filling in at second base beside Pastor only other guy I'm thinking is if Johnson can play a little there.

Uggla got benched last year so I see a shorter leash this year.

Uggla was so shitty last year I hate watching him walk up to the plate.

Although two years ago he had that 27 game hitting streak or something like that.

And he is a good defender.

True he only missed 11 games and I like the guy. Still curious as to who is the backup second baseman in y'all's opinion. Jannish maybe when he gets healthy but I'd still take uggla over him just on obp alone. I've been more than pleased with Ugs on D.

I'm hoping it doesn't come that. Maybe he will finally get his shite together. It is just Spring Training now so I won't hold that against him. I would think he starts at 2nd another 150 games this year. If anything happens, I would expect Janish would get the first shot over crappy Pastor.

I grimaced when I saw this thread. I'm really worried about what he produces. I'll stay optimistic and take the over.

He was benched. It may have not been a real long time. He had the least number of plate appearances since 2008. Some of those games played were as a pinch hitter.

18 official AB's, 10 strike-outs so far this spring. I hope he goes!

Don't worry, they're going to put him at leadoff and he's going to hit .280.

I'll say over, but just barely.....230ish i would guess

But can Reed play 2nd?? I'm all for that if so, we have plenty of power already and could use a .280-.290 hitter in there

Johnson had an OBP 45 points lower than Uggla last year and an OPS 100+ points lower.

He is a big downgrade offensively and does not even know how to play the position.

See I don't get that.. because every single braves fan on here is worried shitless over Uggla..

Altho, I do see him hitting over .220 regardless. Perhaps around .240's..
