Really great show. I think I'm caught up now. The season ended quite shockingly. Who else watches?

I don't but my friend does and says the last episode was a giant ripoff of fugitive.

It kind of was, but there was more to it than that. The one armed man definitely didn't do it either...ha!

Yeah, the show is solid and gives a lot of little info on many characters. The episode that had emperor dual wielding sabers against two people was possibly my favorite star wars scene of all. he just walks in and owns like a pimp.

As for the last few episodes, I could see the finale coming a couple weeks ago but it is still good.

that saddens me. I hate the fact that the prequels had the Emperor and Yoda use light sabers. It seemed like they would be above having to use "a jedi toy"

It's an elegant weapon though.

I'm hearing really great things about this. I want to get caught up but it looks a tad bit childish

Can anyone enlighten me?

I didn't like Yoda jumping around like a little monkey and I didn't like seeing Emperor own 3 or 4 people while looking slow and predictable. The movies should have steered away those two characters using the sabers. The way the animated series has used them has been a little better.

It really has no direction other than being related to the war. They deal with a bunch of systems that are new. Obi-wan and anakin are a lot of the focus, but definitely not all.

I don't get that they have 6 years of stories when the time between AOTC and ROTS was only 2 years. I loved the Mandolore and Sith arcs. Usually if it is Ashoka or Anakin based, I skip them.

I would be interested to hear how they end this series. I mean Asoka is not mentioned in Episode 3 despite being Anakin's padawan. I could see if she were just another jedi, but she is the fricking main characters apprentice.

It was stupid to make Anakin have an apprentice in the first place. He wasn't even a Jedi Master in ROTS (remember him bitching about being on the counsel but not being a Master). The least they could do is follow the films' storyline.

Supposedly in ROTS they wrote in a scene of Darth Vader killing Asoka in the temple during the purge. But it was edited it out..

I didn't think you needed to be a Master to have an apprentice. I thought all Jedi Knights could take on an apprentice. Hell, Obi Wan wasn't a Jedi Master until sometime between the events of Episode II and Episode III...whenever Anakin became a Knight. In fact, I think the prerequisite for becoming a Jedi Master is to train a Jedi padawan into a Jedi Knight.

Total BS. He may have killed a Jedi the same race as Asoka but she wasn't even an idea at that point.

well, I watched this last episode without watching any prior episodes in the past 3 or so years and I must say that the ending left some doors open for Disney with the new movies...

SPOILERS

If Asoka isn't a Jedi anymore, then she may not have been targeted by Order 66 and thus may still be alive after the events of Episode III.

Eh, I don't know. The original trilogy takes place 18 years after ROTS. Say Asoka was 14 during the Clone Wars. That means she was 34 during ANH. This new trilogy takes place 30 years later meaning she would be 64. Unless you are talking stand alone films, I don't see her being a factor in the new trilogy.

Yes, I was implying stand alone films. 18 years between ROTS and ANH leaves plenty of room for filler.

He became a Jedi Master as soon as he killed Maul. If anything justifies being promoted, it is being the only living Jedi to kill a Sith. And technically the opening crawl of TPM calls Obi Wan a Jedi Knight.

Is Asoka a popular enough character in the fandom to have a stand alone film? I would love a stand alone film about the training of Maul.
