Turner is no surprise, but Robinson and Abraham are a little more unexpected. I remember reading that they were deciding between Robinson and Grimes, so I guess this means they will be signing Grimes.

It's nice to see that they have to lose some good players, because I hate them. I really do!

Now to the dreaded should we question (which I also hate, but I am making this one exception because it will be robbing the falcons and making us stronger).... I think persuing Robinson is not a bad move. He hasn't been great, but he has been a good CB. I don't think he'd command a high price tag, and he may look to play against the team that cut him.

Abraham is not a fit in a 3-4, so let's not even worry about him

Lofton worked out. I like beating them with their own players. Plus I still get mad about Morten Anderson's defection.

Wow, very surprised they cut Robinson. He was very solid for them and is a great tackler.

Abraham and Turner were pretty expected.

Exactly. Robinson was much better in Houston than he was in Atl. He's a good quality player that can add depth at a position we are now thin at. However, price is the key to this one. How does he view himself?

Just like I read about Dwayne Bowe's agent the other day. His agent thinks he's top 5, but he's barely top 10.

Robinson is going to be too expensive that was the main reason he was cut. Falcons will most likely use the money to chase Steven Jackson or Dwight Freeney.

I heard all three are, as we speak, negotiating contracts with Bayern Munich.

Great tackling is what we need. I have no idea if the Saints are even looking at CB's in free agency, but if they do then this is one that would be a big boost for us

They need to sign Grimes. They couldn't keep both Robinson and Grimes, and they went with the younger, better player. I'm not disagreeing with you that they may go after Jackson and/or Freeney, but I don't think this is why DR was cut.

Turner and Abraham are done. Robinson could come in and compete for a starting position. Would be an upgrade over both starting CB. I know they really looked at him when he left the Texans.

All 3 were expected. It freed up 15.9 million so I'd expect them to make a move on Steven Jackson (which I agree with).

However, we literally have 0 DE's now.

They would still need something to trade for Revis. He's not a free agent.

We also don't NEED Revis. The money saved today by releasing these 3 will be used to land a DE or Steven Jackson, re-sign Grimes and pay Matt Ryan.

meh... You'd be better off drafting a QB who's a proven winner
