A year or two ago I got a package in the mail saying I could opt in to a class action suit against Chase Bank, apparently over a deal where they jacked up the interest on a credit card from 3% fixed to 25% variable for no reason. There was widespread outrage when this happened, but I simply transferred my balance, swore off Chase, and moved on.
Anyway, I didn't fill out the questionnaire in the class action packet, and forgot all about it. Well today I got a $123 check, either from Chase or the Settlement group, which referenced a settlement (case no. 3:09-MD-2032 MMC, MDL No. 2032).
Has anyone else received this, or know anything about it? If its legit, I've got a little drinking money for the weekend...

I got a letter late last year saying I'm suppose to receive a check, around $150 this summer, because Chase wrongfully terminated my heloc.

I'm supposedly a member of one for overdraft fees against Chase. If I get a $35 check sometime I won't complain.

got a check in the $150 range yesterday regarding some class action on credit cards. I don't think you had to opt in. I think you could have opted out, but I'm still researching before I just cash the check.

Same here.

It happened to me in the middle of a big landscaping job and the check I wrote the guy from the account bounced because I hadn't opened any of the chase mail because it all looked like junkmail.
