Interesting read. Crazy how Mettenburger completed exactly ZERO percent of passes beyond 35 yards. I think that'll definitely change this year with the offensive line and hopefully Leslie.

Mett had the second highest percent of passes thrown 40+ yards in the SEC.
Print the shirts?

ETA: oh, but none were completed.

I think a lot of people are failing to scroll down to see the second chart.

I think yal are misreading the charts. The firs one is percentage of passes thrown at different distances. The second is completion percentage at those distances.

Mett in fact completed 0% of his passes over 35 yards according to the second chart.

So let me get this straight. Mettenberger threw 5.2% of his passes 35 yards and beyond...he completed 0% of those. So considering he threw 352 passes this year, he threw ~18 passes 35 yards and beyond and completed 0 of them? He had to have completed 1 or 2...

It might not take into consideration PI or false start penalties where he just threw the ball up for grabs?

Those people must be fricking retarded...

#8 Z. Mettenberger Long
North Texas 34
Washington 32
Idaho 46
Auburn 33
Towson 53
Florida 56
South Carolina 27
Texas A&M 29
Alabama 42
Miss. St. 36
Ole Miss 48
Arkansas 47
Clemson 26

So there was at least one of +35 in those games bolded...

Does the ball have to travel 35+ in the air or can you just throw it to OBJ and let him run?

Well this thread has now become meaningless.

I don't think they are counting runs after catches in those charts.

How many times did we have a WR break a long run from a short pass? Not many from my recollection
