TIGRLEE has yet to expound his novel on this subject.

So let me get this straight , les miles, the head coach isn't ultimately responsible for the actions and efforts of his own players.

Player. You seem to continue to ignore my posts but I'll keep coming here with them anyway.

Wow.

And you have the nerve to ask someone else if they ever played ball.

What're you talking about? If you ever played sports, then you'd know that not everything that happens on the field is the coach's fault. If you fricked something up, you said, "it was coach's fault." Really? That's awesome.

"Tigerlee didn't make the play, obviously it was his coach's fault...how could Tigerlee be held accountable for his own actions?" That's your arguement, that's what you're telling us? I take it back, there's no way you've ever played any sports at any level, or you'd have some level of belief in personal accountability.

Tigrlee took plays and games off bc in his mind the opponent wasn't worthy.
Coaches knew.

Yep still Tigrlees fault.

If not that, then what?

There were multiple players who took "games" off. The coaching staff isn't to blame for it, but it would have been a great time to play younger guys.

If I were you I'd shift gears too.

Especially with those thoughts you shared with everyone those last couple posts.

Why is anyone bothering to reply to this retard anymore? He has proven countless times that he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about and isn't even worth responding to.

Dude...seriously, why are you like the way you are?

Of course Miles and the staff have plenty of responsibility as to how the players perform, but the players have accountability too. Why is that so hard to believe?

Ask Terrence Cody about it. Ask the Colts about it. Ask the Packers about it. In the NFL they literally bench a player for the 17th week at times. They LITERALLY take the game off. But don't let that get in the way of your theory

D-U-M-B.

At the end of an NFL season, when a team already has the division and bye week locked up, they will literally take the game off, true but that only happens on occasion and not every team does that, like the NE for example. But you are comparing apples to oranges. In the NFL, week in and week out the players and coaches give it their all during the games and in preperation. Aging professional athletes do not have time to take it easy. A good NFL team plays all out every sunday no matter who they play. When they don't, thats when coaches get fired and players become scrutinized. In the league, anything less than 100% is unacceptable. I don't understand how in college football, when every game counts, a player can openly have that attitude. Whenever you are on the field, play your best. Whenever the starters best are no not needed then 2nd and 3rd teams can take over

quote:

no coach working in sports right now thinks its acceptable for players to take off games. but why do you think coaches try to treat every opponent like world beaters? it's because it's in human nature to not be as psyched for towson as you are for florida or alabama.

I completely agree. Thats why all coaches, especially in college football, stress giving it 100% every single week and to never look ahead of an opponent. I know that Montgomery's attitude does not please Les Miles. He wants his players best. If this attitude would become contageous then the buck stops at the head coach but that is hopefully not the case. Can't really blame CLM for one players actions I suppose.

quote:

if you really think the buck always stops with miles then i hope he holds credit when good things happen that is equal to his liability when something bad happens.

Absolutely

LSU football is currently an elite college football program and that is in large part due to CLM.

You should be happy those players are gone. Their attitude was the main reason for defense being inconsistent the whole year. They were concerned about NFL more than the games they were playing. Also, if you want to blame the coach, blame Chavis, you blame Miles for offense already.
