New one should be coming out in a month or two, I'd just wait for that.

I'm pretty pumped about some of the changes.
-Online has been improved and the timing is supposedly the same as an offline game now.
-Beginner mode is set to help get new fans into the game. (In the past the Show has taken ton of practice to be worth a shite).
-They increased the hitting timing windows and slowed down pitch speed to help cut out on the 1-0 extra inning marathons, said to be getting more realistic final scores now.
-The ball physics are supposed to be unreal this year, all the guys who tested it were blown away by the way the ball came off the bat.

Im excited about this because the last MLB game Ive played was on PS2. I used to play a little bit with a friend a couple years ago but thats the extent of my MLB gaming.

Im done with BLOPS2 and BF3 and am getting bored with Madden so I'm wanting to try something new. This game and GTA V should keep me entertained until the new NCAA comes out.

I bought a PS3 a few years back specifically for the Show, I think most would agree it is the most realistic sports simulation out there. That being said I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to, and I couldn't make
consistent contact last year because I couldn't practice enough. Also felt like I had to be completely focused on the game to even compete, and gaming is now a way for me to relax and get away, not build frustration. Lol.
The developers admitted that they have realized they were alienating anyone who wasn't hard core sim from being able to pick it up and play with enjoyment, and that the default settings were too difficult.
I think if you look at some of the great 'sports' games of the past, Tecmo Super Bowl, Ken Griffey Jr's Baseball , we have lost some of the simplicity that made those games so great, IMO.
I have high hopes that they gave us a perfect blend this year, all which should make for a great game.

Just put in my pre-order

If you pre-order from amazon, they send you a code in your email for a $75 million budget for diamond dynasty that can be used for mlb player cards, dynasty player cards and player attribute development...just an FYI.

The only issue I ever had with The Show was that you had to learn to hit either offline or online, trying to do both was disastrous because the timing was so fricking different.

Supposedly they've fixed it...hopefully it's smooth from the jump and won't have to be patched. 2K is ok...it's a little more arcade that the show...it gets to the point where you can hit tons of homeruns whereas the show is a little more technical and harder to hit homeruns...or make contact period....but that was also supposedly addressed.

2k was just as bad last year with the differences in hitting online and hitting offline. That's why I'm making the change to the show.

So you've had a PS3 and purchase 2K over The Show?

Are you fricking retarded?

If I trade in a couple games and could get 12 for free just to play some RTTS, good idea?
