Why is New Mexico only projected to be a 3 seed?

They are:
23-4 overall
RPI is 3, Strength of Schedule is 4
7-3 vs. top 50
No bad losses
Won at Boise State, at Cincy, at Colorado State, and beat UCONN at a neutral site.

I know they will. But their resume, looking at it blindly seems more deserving of a fringe 1/2.

I think it's more of the 2 line being really solid. Lunardi has Michigan, Miami, Michigan State, and Kansas as #2 seeds. I wouldn't classify New Mexico in that group of teams. New Mexico could move up depending on how Michigan finishes the season.

Michigan State has wins over Michigan, Ohio State, Kansas, Minnesota, and Illinois.
I think Georgetown could rise all the way to a #1 seed with the way their playing right now.

this is why they are a 3 seed. the top 8 have a better resume of wins. that said, they win out and they could get a 2.

Except they aren't a bunch of slow white dudes. So not like them at all. Also BYU didn't play anybody that year beside SDSU.
