Anyone ever swapped a boat for guns? I'm about to post mine for trade. Think I can talk someone out of an AR ?

It's a 1997 15' Weldcraft bass boat with a 2-stroke yamaha 60 (1997 also). It needs a little work, but trailer is in good shape and tires/bearings have less than 20 miles on them.

These are all I had on this computer, I can take some more when I get home. It's a small boat. 2 men can fish in it, but kids and women tend to step on everything, as rod and tackle storage is limited.

I'll sell it outright if you know of anyone looking for a boat too.

If it runs, I will trade you. If not, depends on compression test.

Clean looking little boat. Good luck. 15' with a 60 ought to run.

That boat should command somewhere in the $4500 range assuming the motor is sound. You should get an AR and some cash for it. Those late 90s yamahammers are desirable and a small aluminum flat boat doesn't really lose value so long as the hull is in good shape.

ETA: The money is really in the motor. The trailer is either a go or no-go, and the hull is either functional or not. If the motor is sound, you're fine, if it is shot, then you've lost most of the value of the boat.

I wish. A rig like this isn't fetching that much money. I'd sell it for $1500 cash or guns worth that. I'm just trying to get rid of it so my wife will quit leaving her coffee cup on the front deck every afternoon.

I once traded an old 870 for a ford ranger.

Most fun I have had with a truck in a 8 hour period ever. Well, besides you know...

It ended up on the side of a gravel road with a blown engine.

WHAT?? The motor is worth more than that. A 14' with a late 90s tiller handle 25hp goes for $2500 all day. I have been watching boats for the last 3 years on almost a daily basis anywhere within 6 hours of BR or Shreveport. Your boat is worth WAY more than $1500. Way more. A whole lot more. I promise you.

I can have it picked up by the end of the day if you're willing to part with it for $1500. I could double my money by the end of the week no problem.

I agree. Ive seen older 25 hp tiller handles on jon boats and a trailer bring 2k.
