It's not fun. When the huge storm hit in 2010 (33" in one day) we were without power for three days. The day the power came back on we got another 23". Fortunately the power stayed on after that storm.

not to poo-poo that experience but it sounds infinitely better than being out of power from a hurricane in south Louisiana
