It just shows how sad it is that the people who shape the laws of this country have no idea what they are talking about.
He actually says its easier for women to shoot a shotgun than an AR-15 (um, what?)
Then he says to blindly shoot both of your shotgun shells into the air as "warning shots" 
We live in a fricked up world these days when "educated" politicians can be so out of touch with reality yet no one in the media will call them out for it.

Palin was a decent prospect who got rushed to the majors.
Quayle is a flat out doofus. Biden makes Quayle look like a Rhodes Scholar.

Biden has a bad case of diarrhea of the mouth, but I'll bet he knows the countries that are a part of NAFTA, that Africa is a continent made up of many coutries and not just a single country, and that the Prime Minister has the power in the U.K., and not the Queen.

What he said was not a "gaffe" or "slip of the tongue" though.
He said women don't need AR-15s for self defense because a shotgun is easier to shoot...and that his wife only needs to go outside and shoot two of the shells into the air if she were to hear something and that would be sufficient
There are valid reasons for gun control and gun reform, but of those statements are absurd and he should be blasted by the media for them, but he wasn't and isn't. It was barely a blip.
