I have had tickets for over 30 years. First time the band has ever got on the court like that. The drum section was set up in the middle of the court.Horn were on all four corners. They played just like the football pregame turning to all four sides. Also a lot more drum solo to start.I think they should keep this for SEC games.PS. bring Mike out the roof again. What do yall think.

Agree. Make a new Deaf Dome noise meter hanging from the rafters and get the mascot to pump the crowd up pregame. Maybe not rappelling from the ceiling though. A little too dangerous, but something to amp that deaf dome up

eta: Schedule some big out of conference matchups. Duke, UNC, UCLA, Zona, Kansas...

Better competition will get the fans into the games again. One or two of these teams a year would be fine with me. If we can start being competitive on a national level again.

We've done this for the last 4 games. It will be for the rest of the mens games. It's actually pretty cool because all of the bass drummers around the court are wind players who just learned these drum parts.

winning will get fans to the PMAC. we would likely have to go to those schools. i doubt Duke or UNC would travel to BR.

for the time being, we would be fine scheduling teams like Marquette and Kansas St maybe.

I noticed the game day coordinators get upset they were tardy playing for the team running out of the tunnel right after. Not sure if that was the band scrambling back or if the band director was just snoozing.

Its not like they get some random, untrained guy to do it. They used to do it every time kentucky or some other big name team came to town. When the rope would drop down from the hole in the ceiling before the starting lineups the place would go nuts.

+1

I don't think bringing UNC or the big boys would bode well

The director for this game wasn't the one who set it all up, plus this Bengal Brass band hadn't done a performance before that and hadn't practiced in weeks. We got 2 more games to fix it.
