Two forms of state 'revenue' via illegals that I have seen locally, before Obama.
Taxes and drivers licenses.
Any illegal Mexican here will tell you in the past they were afraid to file federal or state income tax-because they are illegal. The last few tax seasons have illegals filing and using the EIC with all 7 of their kids and getting 17K back. With this I am sure their ankle biter Chihuahua dogs were also counted as kids.
This used to be cha-ching cha-ching money for the fed and state because as these illegals were working they would indeed take all the money out of their paychecks.
On their lack of drivers licenses in the past. They would pay huge fines when they were pulled over for driving with no drivers licenses or insurance. Whereas we would go to jail. They would be deported after about three no DL pullovers. But in the meantime it was cha-ching cha-ching money for the state of NC.
As well as a wonderful clinic just went up down the road en espanol ONLY. As well as brand new school buses and building for a head start program just for minorities and illegals.
Obama doing this, to get votes is a failure. Let me also add that ObamaCare plus brand new clinics for these votes will cause double payment of us paying for their healthcare as they will still go to the ER while money was wasted for their special medical clinics.
While the middle class will be eliminated yet not qualify for any special programs unless they are homeless.

Why don't they issue licenses for drug dealers to distribute illegal drugs too? Obviously they have no problem sanctioning illegal activities so why stop here?

I am all for Immigration reform and attempting to do something with everyone here illegally... But how the frick can someone who is here ILLEGALLY get a LEGAL form of identification?

Not making an argument either way but I thought Feds in PROTECT act or some other post 9/11 law made that illegal ad in they take your highway money thing just like the drinking age law?

It's not a slippery slope fallacy, it's a slippery slope reality. Can you with a straight face say that some of the new laws that are being passed aren't an attempt to redefine the way things are and structurally and culturally change this country?

After they give them the driver's license they should also point in the direction of Mexico and give them enough gas to get there.

I have more problems with a State issuing licenses than I do with "illegal immigrants" getting those licenses.

It's not all bad
They're going to be driving anyway. This ensures that the state gets some revenue out of the deal and at least they have some ID where we can keep tab on them.

Picking someone's pocket is a non violent act not a violent act.
The person picks your pocket and disappears before you even know it happened.
